The long wait is over

The long wait is over. After all the hardships, struggles and sufferings, we were able to reach the finish line of our education life. I believe that the learning process does not stop there but I am beyond blessed to step on the stage of our university and finally receive my diploma. I am now a certified degree holder. College life has brought me to a bigger world as well as vast imagination of what life is. It was not an easy part of life; in fact, this chapter is a hard encounter because of different outlook of people you will meet. Aside from this are the challenges you’ll go through. Luckily, I was able to survive!

College life is full of stories and inclusions: course requirements, assignments, expenses, exams, presentations, research works and a lot more. We all experienced this night when we fell asleep while studying for finals; a time when our brain is damned and can’t complete a sentence; a moment when we wished that school wasn’t that tiring and stressful and a minute when we wished we have this power to jump into the future. Yes, we all experienced those. But admit it, college life is fun! This is the time when we get to see things that we thought are impossible.

In this part of life, we are regarded as “mature ones” because this is the preparation for the professional world. But instead of living under pressure, we are fonder of enjoying everything that comes. When we are counting the days before graduation, I honestly don’t know what to feel. It is natural to feel happy about it, but I also felt sad because I know I’m going to miss my friends, mentors and the university. It’s really hard to leave when you treated that place as your second home. But of course, there’s always a reason behind everything. God has plans for me so I must replace sadness with happiness. And yeah, last March 18, 2013, I was able to present my priceless gift to my parents. I can’t believe! Things happened so fast. Indeed, time flies when you’re having fun.

I really appreciate all the messages sent virtually and personally. I am thankful that God has given me very supportive family, boyfriend and friends. I wouldn't have the chance to complete the four years without their encouragements and help. And now, I am part of the “unemployed section” and hoping for a nice job after a month or two. Whatever God gave me, I will accept.

Congratulations to all the graduates of 2013.
TO GOD BE THE GLORY!

MEGA internship insight

First published work.
It's just simple, but I am so happy!

I always regard myself as a person who wants to learn new things and explore discoveries. Writing has always been my passion. I love hearing stories from the people who works on that field. I’d like to learn more because I need to know more. I just had to experience a small chunk in a big world that’s why I am very eager to see other things. I would like to share my insights on my first internship.

Having my internship in a prestige publishing company - One Mega Group is such a pleasure. My experiences are priceless. The lessons I’ve earned are the things I wouldn’t learn in a classroom or school setting. I can say that I faced the real world already because I have seen the reality in this internship. Working on a publishing company is one of my greatest dreams. That’s why I really made it to the point to have my internship wherein my passion can be expressed. A very well spent OJT, indeed. I immediately grabbed the opportunity when I received a mail from the company; and thankfully it was worth it. I feel really feel blessed for God has granted my wish. The very first thing I’ve learned is to be independent when it comes to commuting. The office is not near to where I live but I made it. I learned to be more familiar with places and to think of my own welfare as I venture alone. I know it’s just a least experience but I am glad because I was able to get the privilege of learning it. Now I can proudly say that I can travel all by myself while considering the precautions.

I love writing very much and I wanted to learn more about it; like the proper ways, grammars and formats. When Ms. Apple gave me assignments, I did not hesitate and I accepted it wholeheartedly. I discovered the ways of writing magazine articles. I can say that I really love this field, especially creative writing. I have experienced writing articles about lifestyle, music, tips and a lot more. There are few write-ups that I never knew I could learn, like press releases. When we were asked to write materials like this during my Junior year, I found it difficult and tricky. And now, I’m enjoying writing billboards and press releases. It’s like discovering products and materials on your own. It also opened my mind on new things and innovations. In writing, you can’t choose only the things you like; it is essential to accept whatever topics given to you. Speaking of that, I gained the value of obeying; that I should not close myself and be exclusive to the things I just desire. There will always be mentors that will give you directions; I should look up to them because they will lead me into the right path.

I also had the privilege to join shoots. It was really fun. There, I learned bunch of things. I have discovered that “peace of mind” really matters. You need to focus and concentrate on certain tasks given to you. I can’t be tame and wait for others to command me. I should have the initiative and offer myself. During those times, people are panicking so I need to be alert all the time. It was such an honor being with the team during a cover shoot. The team is not doing their job just to finish their work; they are enjoying what they’re doing. What I’ve also learned is that you should always enjoy what you are doing. You can’t be just doing it without your heart. Passion should always be present. I have seen the exact scenario during photoshoots. The people were all creative. I told myself that my ideas in mind should not always stay where it is; I should express it and let it flow. Abilities and ideas should not be wasted. These things came from God. Like the people in this field, I should not waste any of the blessings from above.

In my internship, I found out the importance of this matter. I was also able to evaluate myself; that I need to change so many things. Yes, I am entering the real world. This isn’t like college days that my life is limited. Few months from now, I will be dealing with different kinds of people. I will be facing people with different personalities and attitudes. I should not let myself hang around without knowing what exactly to do and to say. I met  people with a meaningful passion, which is writing. They are all encouraging me to pursue my dream. I did not learn only from my experiences, they also taught me lessons from their familiarity. They were once like me, hoping and dreaming to be successful. They did not stop believing on their capablitiesand up until now they are still seeking for knowledge. I want to be like them someday; still eager to learn new things.

Celebrity Living Magazine,
December 2012-January 2013 issue
One Mega Group people are very humble. They do not think highly of themselves even if they already have the standards to be such. They are very modest. They treat everyone in the company equally, even cleaners and drivers. There is no high or low position in the office. I admire them for being such. I think everyone should be like them. This is very important in a workplace and I am very glad that I have experienced it in Mega. I have conquered various fears and it brought out my strengths. I am thankful because my Celebrity Living family really helped me to bring out the best out of me. I am very certain that everyone in the team aimed to leave a mark in my life. I won’t forget all the pieces of advice, opinions and recommendations ever. Surely, I will carry these things on the start and end my journey. They guided me all throughout. I never felt being alone with them. Priceless could be a repetitive word in this reflection but I couldn’t help myself but use it. My journey in One Mega Group is just short but it is unforgettable. I will never ever forget anything about it.

Welcoming 2013 with a happy heart

Everyone wants to welcome 2013 with a bang. Who wouldn’t want to leave 2012 with no worries, just happy thoughts? Of course everyone aims for a fabulous new year. A new year is definitely a time to ponder on the things you need and want to change about yourself. It’s not the ONLY time but it can be the PERFECT time. Everyday is a chance to see the possibilities about yourself and life. It is the time of life that should not be wasted. They say that the nosier, the better, the more prosperous. It can be just a tittle-tattle, but it can be true. It depends on how you expect life. It’s just exciting to embrace 2013 with happiness and love. It’s not merely about the practices and rituals, it’s about the essence along with self-assessment.

Leave all the bad memories in the past. All the pain, sorrows and struggles should be left in the previous year; and let it serve as lessons. Good memories are allowed to be brought on the anticipating year. These are the things that are meant to be kept and cherished. While keeping these memories, you become more encouraged to seek in for forthcoming moments and happenings. This 2013, remember to embark your values in the highest level. Spend this wonderful day with your family and loved ones. By being together, you are more stimulated to have a fresh start. This is the sharp time to express yourself, bond and make others happy.

Do not be dejected about the so-called predictions about the upcoming year. “Number 13” is not a tragic number and “The Year of the Snake” is not an unlucky year. It depends definitely on how you track and view your life. Imagine it wonderfully and creatively and you will have a prosperous year. All the while, we should not forget the best thing to do as we welcome 2013. Start it with a PRAYER! Thank God for the magnificent blessings you have received and ask him to come with you on your everyday life. Seek God first before anything else.

BE HAPPY!
 Love lots,
Trisha

Opened our hearts

When I first taught of retreat, one thing enters my mind. Boredom; I cannot imagine myself without cell phone, internet and other stuff for three days but for the sake of requirements I taught of the need to attend. It’s a requirement, it’s compulsory so we don’t have a choice but to comply. I love attending these kinds of activities when I was in highschool. When I experienced retreats and recollections in SPUM, I am gradually getting used to it along with the activities and programs. I realize that I need to deepen my thoughts more in order to contemplate with the purpose of having such. I just got home from a retreat 2 days ago. It’s my last retreat actually. And again, while packing my things, I can’t help but to express my anxiety regarding this.

(I only have few pictures taken. I'm still waiting for the group pictures)

I got myself wrong on the anxious feeling I felt and assumed about the retreat. Now all I can say is.. That’s the best retreat ever. I keep on saying: life changing experience. Lately, our class is experiencing a problem regarding a matter or issue. Hearsays, rumors, comments, judgments, assuming and stories were part of the hitch. We’ve been through a matter that became personal. It wasn’t suppose to be like that; we just forgot to open our minds. We became close-minded, if I am not mistaken. Our class was separated. Smiles, giggles and laughs faded away. Without reflecting on a change that will occur during the retreat, it happened. A facilitator whom I know was designed by God to make a change had done his mission. Series of activities helped us become united. First day and second day, we are good but we’re still having a difficulty. On the last day, we drained the burdens and sorrows as we embrace each other with a heart longing for peace and harmony. After the mass, I appreciate that no one in that group was pretending.  We are all sincere in the utterance words and gestures.

The power of God is indeed present. We had a growth session a week ago before the retreat. I couldn’t open my heart that time. I keep on saying that if it’s not the time yet, I don’t want to rush and push it. Maybe the reason is because I don’t want to force myself in reconciling with people when my heart is still closed. God manually and enthusiastically open the hearts of each and everyone in our group to open hearts and accept things. We had the opportunity to utter the sincerest sorry on the persons we think we have hurt. Now, we are all fresh from hatred. We will live us one with love and happiness. Thank you Lord!

I get a fulfilling feeling whenever I cherish

What makes you get the fulfilling feeling? So yeah, we all have different likes and dislikes because we are all unique. I bet we all experience the feeling of being complete. It may be the time you accomplished something, a time when you made someone happy, a time when you were able to get what you want, anything depending on your perspective.

This feeling makes you feel the good vibes, right? It's like you want to express your feeling at someone. Whenever we undergo to this happening, we tend to express, nothing's wrong with that. But do not forget to cherish that moment first, then release. Some people post a tweet or a status whenever they feel so happy. There are also people who write what they feel and to serve as a memories kept.

I just read an article about memories that the more you are actively remembering something, the more moments, facts, memories you hold, the more happy thoughts will come.

This may be one drive I hold. I cherish good memories. At the same time, I wait for them to  come. :) School year 2012-2013 is fast approaching. I'm really getting the most out of it. Whenever I do things to make the most of my summer vacation, I feel fulfilled. I know the upcoming school year will be tough so as much as possible I do everything I can do to enjoy this break.

This weekend I got to spend a soothing night at a lovely place with the special people in my life. Moment cherished!

(just a glimpse of what I wore, heehee) <--- inserting some "fashion stuffs"

What makes you get the fulfilling feeling? :)

No to underestimations! (Judgments)

Impression lets you think of what might be the personality of the person is. It does not exactly tell you who the person really is.  It just gives you ideas by looks and some actions. You cannot definitely judge the person by his/her physical appearance. A person do not shows “real self” on first meetings; that is usually for formal settings. How about the people in the society? Were you able to experience a time when you bump into a man and you instantly give your assumptions and judgments by what he wear? That’s typical, but hey, you can still efface that mental complexities and revise your outlook in viewing the stance of people in society. You know that impressions do not last, it change. Give a benefit of the doubt to stay away from judging an individual or a group of people.

Judgmental is defined in the dictionary as a basic opinion formed by judging or simply drawing conclusions. What’s happening today is far different from the way it was before. If you are not well-dressed or made up; if your hair is not combed, you are lowered in the viewpoints of the people. Sad reality, you cannot deny the fact that there is something in you that dictates to place something adjective on someone, whether be positive or negative. Positive thoughts, are, of course, may be applicable in judging but if you judge by negative aspects, then you should have a reality check on yourself.

You can live in a simple life where positive expectations are released in your intellect scheme. Your perceptions may change your reality view, that’s up to you. Things may interchange at times but values should constantly remain. This prevalent matter is not only happening in our society but also in our everyday lives. One example is about friendship. As you can see in some teen movies, the first scene is about a mean girl who judges every girl she’s seeing in the campus. This is happening in reality especially when two girls are feeling uncomfortable with the company of each other. “Hey, you know what.. That girl, she’s… she’s like that and like that…” without any proof. It merely comes out into the mouths of the hypercritical beings. That’s just a shallow example. These persons are also encountered in politics. We view them (all) as corrupt, in general. Have you asked yourself if your are certain on this? Do they all live with greediness? We really don’t know. There are some personalities that we have proven to be greedy but we should come up with basis before concluding something.

We all have different encounters, unusual dilemmas, various experiences, in our lives. Don’t make life difficult by underestimating one’s personality. There’s so much we don’t know. Walk in the path where you treat first your complexities before shooting someone you don’t know. Judgers were known to be a characteristic without negativity, but people chose to put a unenthusiastic meaning on it.

I will leave you with this quote,

Be curious, not judgmental.
-Walt Whitman

Heart for Sendong victims

Seeing the victims of tragedy in Cagayan De Oro melted my heart. I did not let myself got hooked on TV News recently because I couldn't take seeing the videos and photos. Seriously, no exaggerations. I am sure all the Filipinos felt the same thing. Nobody felt good about it, right? We all want to burst out our emotions and cry. Aside from the timing that made it painful, you can see the victims are not only adults but also children which brings more grief to everyone.

Sendong really devastated Cagayan De Oro. Recently as seen on news (1 hour before I made this blog), 900 are dead. Others are still searching for the bodies that might be buried on the mudslides. Some of their loved ones have identified them and there are more that are still unidentified. The people are still waiting for other forensics aside from SOCO and NBI that will help them identify each of the person behind the bodies of dead. Painful, it is.While others are preparing for their noche buena this coming Christmas, these victims are starving to hunger. Others are doing their Christmas shopping, these victims are left with nothing. How could these people celebrate their Christmas day? At the evacuation center? On a damp sight looking for their loved ones? On the corner mourning? How could you take these heartbreaking assumptions when you know it is possible?

But hey, the world is still revolving. You can do something big and something small about this. Something that will really help others. The easiest and the most powerful way is to PRAY. Put this on mind:

I always feed this on to the minds of people because this will be the greatest thing of all

They say that one of the reason why this calamity happened because illegal logging is prevalent in their place. "Very accessible for them" as one of the resident of one village in CDO says. I heard that not only once so I think illegal logging issue is prominent on their town. I hope that this will serve as a lesson for everyone. Don't abuse the nature.

"Awareness is the key" as what I am always saying. So we better listen and watch for the news for us to be aware on what is currently happening. Because of my flaming positivism, I know that each of us can do something. Act before it's too late.

Essence of Christmas

I was about to post a blog about Christmas a month ago but I refuse to continue it with no exact reason why. That's weird, I know. But.. As I reached home from Church earlier, I want to rush to my laptop and blog about the same subject reason and again I don't know why. This is becoming weirder, I admit. I re-read my notes about the Sunday service message and realize that God wanted me to post that blog topic with a reason. Uh-uh! For a purpose.

The last blog which I suppose to post says, "Christmas is getting nearer. Today is November 28, 2011 and few sleeps from now, it's already December". Now, it's really December. Few more sleeps, we'll celebrate Christmas. Everyone's busy doing shopping, bazaars are in just different corners; Christmas lights which excites are eyes more; parols and belens; station ids which gives people an inspiration; gifts under the Christmas tree make you wonder what's inside; decorations all over your house and a lot more. These are just a few representations of Christmas. I am sure this things make you excited. Everybody feels that way but what is really the meaning of Christmas?

Victory Makati opened this month's series entitled: COLORS OF CHRISTMAS

This series enlightens me more about this coming celebration, Christmas.

"Christmas is not just a tradition. It has a deeper meaning."
-Pastor Joey Bonifacio

Do not just simply dwell on your own perspective about Christmas widen it more by remembering the deeper meaning. Jesus chose to be with us, he exposed himself into pains, accusations and sufferings because of his greatest love for us.

"I have come to do your will, My God."
Heb. 10:5-7

Since I was a child, presents is the best representation of Christmas for me until then God himself made me realized the meaning of it. And the message made this beliefs stronger. I thank God because the message impacted so strong to me. The importance of my faith came out, too. God did not created us because he need someone to express his love with. He created us simply because he LOVES us. Isn't so sweet? We tend to look for the things and forget that God is always there, available all the time. Instead of praying, we surf the net. Why don't we share everything to God just like as we post a FB status and tweets?
I am going far. Haha.

Christmas is a time of giving too. Gifts will make you smile. But..
This coming Christmas, I just want you to think of its real essence of the celebration.
FOCUS ON THE CELEBRANT and his worth.

PRAY your heart out!

This is more likely a reflection paper but I swear this will make you realize something. :)

Slice of Life: 2 - I just found myself writing about dreaming so I posted it

Our mind covers all matters in the box of its capability. Meaning, this includes reality as well as going beyond its limitations which is called imagination. Ever dreamed of something that you're not even sure if it's reachable or not? Or more so not even existing? Millions of people in this world did so. Others were able to see transparently and watch those dreams as it happens. Some also grieves because of their high expectations that passed on disappointments. Some are prepared to see the downfall in reaching their dreams and surely some of them had moved on; some are on the process and maybe there are few who left themselves fell on the ground. It is a sad reality that there are people who thinks of their sorrow as endless.

Dreaming literally :)

I call myself a dreamer. Two things. One, I wake up everyday with shutter memories of my dreams or sometimes a very detailed one. The surest thing is I always dream whether be related to my experience or the one I am hoping for. Such a funny thing to know how imaginative I am. From my childhood memories, I remember myself putting life on my drawings, playing with my imaginary friend named Jamen, teaching a so called "empty class" and so much more. I set my mind and trained it in pushing myself on the place or state where I desire to go/be. I found this goodness in me when it comes to controlling myself whether to be hopeful or to be hopeless.
Dreaming with the use of imagination

Life is a matter of choice as they say. You are responsible to your decisions. You're the one who will choose which journey to take on. Following your heart would be the strongest foundation. Move your imagination. Do not let it stay where you just want it to be.

Let this be a simple inspiration.

Slice of Life: 1

If  your heart's present in whatever you do, success will follow you. I have this simple philosophy in life that if you love what you're doing, you will surely attain what you want to. It is.. being passionate.

Whether be a simple task or a hard one, extra effort is always required. How you exert a strong action will determine the outcome. Do not ever leave brain without the heart. They go together. If one runs away without the other, the certain organ will not function. As the brain thinks, the heart feels. They're both responsible succession.

Have you ever think of the successful personalities of the generation? Most of them succeeds in the field where their interest is or simple where their heart is.

You should love what you're doing. You should be happy while doing it. If you're enjoying while working, surely progress will be defined. Things will come out how you perceive them to be. If you look at it with strong conviction, it will turn out emphatically great.

Simply love what you are doing.
Put a smile and much love on it. :)

Brand in demand, values on hand.

BRAND IN DEMAND, VALUES ON HAND

"Communication should neer be commissioned from outide the company, but conceived from within its hearts."
-Luciano Benetton

Benetton is a global clothing brand, based in Treviso Italy. The name comes from the four members of the Benetton family namely Luciano, Guiliana, Gilberto and Carlo Benetton. They are passionate when it comes to styles and quality which is seen in the brand itself. Luciano Benetton, the eldest of the four children, was only 20 years old, realized that people wanted color not only only in their clothes, but also in their lives.

The advertisements of the said brand created universal impact that captures the hearts of the people especially the consumers. They succeeded in attracting the attention of the public using the images they use in their ads. The campaigns aim to reach out the world by informing the state of the world regarding different issues. The company is also doing their task to promote the sales of their products but they do not set aside the commom values which they aimed to share from the very first.

"All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights."

The company stood firm in carrying this meaningful slogan and come up with these advertisements:
Human races, one heart.

Whatever nationality or race we belong doesn't make any different from one another. We are all human beings. We were a given heart that has the same functions as the others. It is there as a seat of affection and sensibilities such as love, hate, joy, grief, courage, etc. Therefore no matter if you're black, white or yellow, you have the capacity to feel. We should not distinguish ourselves from others because we have ONE SAME heart that can sense feelings and emotions.

Campaign against domestic violation

This ad was done by McCann Erickson, released in May 2007. The victimized picture of women aims to feed the minds of people that such things are occurring. The social responsibility was surfaced by this ad. They sheltered the thought that these women should be well take care of. They were dressed up in stylish apparel which shows that they deserve beautiful things in life. But as you take a look, the models appeared in these pictures having no sign of effect. Optimism, in a sense that we can vanish the grief in hearts.

Food for life

Photo was taken by James Mollison. Fighting for hunger. Without the basic human need of nutrition, one cannot lift himself up from his life's downfalls. The campaign shows the importance of food in life. Food means life when poverty crisis lead way back. United Colors of Benetton in partner with UN World Programme alleviate world hunger.
A man with amputated arm in the photo depicts that everyone deserves food in his/her daily life.

Fight against racial discrimination

An approach to racism issue that strongly demonstrates that we are all equal. Some people doesn't feel like interacting with their opposite race because of the loyalty. Racism became a weapon which is used by non-whites against whites. Because of this so called "competition" among the races, they exploded and had controversial issues. United Colors of Benetton joined organizations that will help them wipe out racism.

Photograph scene of the AIDS patient David Kirby’s last moments, surrounded by his family members. This photo was taken by Therese Frare. The ad shows how the AIDS victim suffers with all his loved ones surrounding him feeling the pain too. This photo became controversial among Catholics because the image of God was used. It has perceived in a negative way but was also applauded by many people because the strong impact and won many awards. The photo was also included in the "100 pictures that can change the world."

Main channels of the transmission of HIV virus.

Blood drenched soldier uniform depicts the harsh reality of war. This is a real uniform of a soldier Marinkino Gagro, died in the war of Bosnia.

UNITED COLORS OF BENETTON'S CAMPAIGNS CAPTURED, CAPTURES AND WILL CONTINUE CAPTURING THE MINDSETS AND PERSPECTIVES OF THE PEOPLE IN A POSITIVE WAY. THEIR DESIRES IN INFORMING THE PEOPLE WHAT TO DO AND WHAT TO FEEL WILL TAKE PLACE IN OUR HEARTS. THE CREATORS OF THESE ADS SURELY THINK VERY DEEP SO THAT THE WILL UNQUESTIONABLY DRAG THE PERCEPTIONS OF THE PEOPLE.

When you thought you know everything

Living in a place where you are provided with admirable weather and good environment is such a blessing. You can access with everything you want and everything you need. Communication is way possible. Technology is on hand and you have nothing to worry at all except for little expenditures.

But have you ever think of these people? Have you heard phenomenon "Climate Refugee?" How well do you know their lifesyle? They are defined as people displaced by climatically induced environmental disasters of the new disasters such as droughts, desertification, sea level rise, and the more frequent occurrence of extreme weather events such as hurricanes, cyclones, fires, mass flooding and tornadoes. Obviously, they don't dreamt or hoped for that but unfortunately it came out and happened. They can't do nothing but strive to survive. These disasters come out suprisingly and we are all aware that these are unpredictable. The extremity of these incidents affect the lives of the victims. Not just their physical healths, but mentally and psychologically.
The environmental migrant diplaces the situation of people wherein they don't have nothing to do but to ask. Ask for what? A help. Climate refugees, without choice, need to transfer places that will adopt to their situation. They keep on relocating themselves where they can settle down. Sometimes, they are handed by assistance but there are times that they're not given any attention. It's hard to figure out why they are not attended by the pointed officials. Maybe because of their population? I don't think so. In the first place, they should be the one in charge of the protection of these people.
Climate refugees have a reason to be hopeless, but they're not dwelling on the perspectives on the ideas that will kill them mentally. They don't bother to treat themselves as less fortunate because they are strong. The problems they are facing give them the oppurtunity to use their capabilities and skills.
Don't settle for less. Awareness is the key.
WE ARE THE KEYS TO THE BETTER LIVES OF THESE REFUGEES.
A simple act can change their lives.

It's not a sin to aim something but love the things you have and what God can provide for now

"You get what you need. You get what you want."

The students of St. Paul University Manila had an immersion at Botolan, Zambales. Headed by Ms. Lalaine Vitug and Mr. Brian Bantugan, we were able to explore the tribe of Tumungan. We traveled there for almost 3 hours with 30 mins stopover at Subic. Tacked with us are storybooks, cup noodles, school supplies, snacks and slippers. We just enjoyed our trip there, had fun moments at the bus.

We were welcomed with warm smiles and greetings. With their deep feelings I know how overwhelmed they are. The cute aetas even performed their cultural dance and had a little presentation.

One thing that entered my mind, the simplicity of life is there. Life can be filled with happiness without fame and riches. Their houses are just built by kawayans. Could you imagine yourselves reaching your house with no means of entertainment? What I mean is you'll buldoze the idea of having a television or internet in your mind. I bet a lot of you guys can't imagine their selves without technology. There, you'll just see the simple wonders of life and the appreciative people who just enjoy their culture and the nature around them. They don't expect the fullness of life in terms of materials.

I know a lot of us could also adopt their state of appreciating. I'm not telling you to stop hoping but it's better to be contented with what you have. It's not a sin to aim something but love the things you have and what God can provide for now.

Maximize your life span

Did you ever get this feeling? You think life seems ironic. You get too judgmental because you critic what you just see and not what you feel. You damned on the fact that you only have a limited timeline of living. Mentally, you're feeling gets devastated everytime you anticipate the thoughts of dying. Given the fact that we only have a short life span, it ruins your life's expectations. You feel life is worthless when you're in this moment of evaluation. You absolutely got that right, life is too short so all you have to do is to make it meaningful and purposeful. It is pretty natural to feel that dying is a big slap in your heart. Those ideas make you realize that life depends on how you handle it. What you need to understand is that God has a plan in our lives and we are destined to live on how he intend things to happen. Worrying on your loved ones? Value them until it's not yet late. Every single hour is a privilege to express your feelings to the important creatures that exist in your life. We have our own personalities but everyone deserved to be loved. Show and let them feel what they deserve everyday. You can lengthen your life span by purely showing love, doing relaxation, forgiving and risking. Do not be afraid of death, it is written therefore it has a purpose. Make the most out of your life! Spread love and you'll learn how to simplify everything.

Entrust the lives of your loved ones to our Lord always.

Be aware!

I've been reading a lot of blogs that truly catch my attention. Our world is so wide, it gives us so many things to write or to tackle. Seeing numerous people interested in writing/blogging arouse my feeling. We are facing hundreds of problems like our country's decreasing economy, war in different countries, shortages, price hikes and a lot more. This calls all the concern humans. We are the beholder of our future. Expressing every sensible things is important. Considering we are the Youth of today, concern is a must. We can show our concern by having a reaction. Respond to the place we're living to.

I can see some teenagers posting different status on Facebook that tells about their lives. That's part of life, we couldn't remove that. We tweet our location, our plans, errands and the trending stuffs today. Rarely we post something about the current events in our country, also in world news. It just melt my mind, thinking if this people are aware of what's happening.

I am very much aware that News is substantial. Our Mass, Media and Society professor accustomed us in awareness which helped everyone in Masscom. Yes i watch news but I didn't know before that it should be a priority. Before we come in class, she requires us to read, watch or hear news. That is why my mom always prepares a newspaper for me. Too bad I cannot  bring it with me because it's too big but I would gladly take it along with me if I'm not commuting. Newspaper is the most informative form of news. All the important details are there. Good thing, taxi drivers listen to A.M. stations every morning. There, I can hear the current events. It's also informative but it's kinda hard to take everything in memory knowing that I am not that good in auditory listening. I always making up to the point that I know what's happening. I'm hoping everybody would be like that.

Different forms of news is reaching us, cooperate. MAKE READING AS A HABIT. CHOOSE A SHOW THAT IS INFORMATIVE. MAKE YOUR EARS AVAILABLE FOR THE IMPORTANT THINGS.

Youth = beholder of our country's future
So, let's be aware. Catch every essential current events. Not only in our own lives, but also the state of our surroundings.

We need to go through challenges in life in order to reach our desired destination

“Narinig mo ba akong sumuko?”

Everybody's been waiting for the MMK's episode since last week, starring Aj Perez, a teen actor who just passed away because of an accident. The story focused on the journey of the two young boys from Manila to Samar. For them, Samar will give them a better life. Since life is very complicated here in Manila, they decided to go to take circumstances and go there. They travel there by just walking, seriously without riding a vehicle (except when they need to ride on the back of a truck).  Can you imagine how far Manila from Samar? It will take you 4 – 6 hours if you ride in a bus. Aj, with his brother Bugoy hit the roads and pursue their plans. They experienced so many despairing things that weakened their hearts. People kicked them off their places. They’ve been through a lot of challenges but these trials keep them going. I won’t summarize the story anymore because I’m sure everybody’s tuned on it. I just want to share this admiration. I appreciated the story so much because I have the same perspectives as what the main characters have. You cannot reach your destination if you won’t experience trials. Life is a matter of ups and downs. Say hello to the discouragements but take note that this will make you stronger. When you arrive on a desired place in life, you’ll be happy to say you worked hard for it. Never stop dreaming. Failures will accompany you but it will absolutely take you in a better place. Aj did everything to reach their simple goal. He went through many depressing situations but he continued going on for his own and brother’s sake. There are many moral in the story but I chose to highlight this lesson. Kudos, MMK!

Wrestle the complication

Living in our world seems so hard because of the dominating thing called money. Most of the time, were having a problem because of this. “Money cannot buy happiness” is absolutely true. But in order to live, money is a requirement; an essential part of a being.

It's being stressful knowing that you need money to sustain living. The harder part is seeing every price increases. In broadsheets, you’ll see a big bold headline indicating price hike. Price hike of everything brings noise to your life. Considering you’re just a teenager and living with your parents. I am a very concerned daughter. I felt bad for my parents who are striving hard to earn money and sustain our family with almost 15 members but I am thankful how God bless our everyday lives. In other cases, could you feel how others struggle? How Much more the family who are living in a rural area, homeless and jobless? How can they survive it? Rice is most important part of a meal. Its value expands almost every week. How will they manage their daily budget if every price hikes?

To see those dull lives of the Filipinos gives a very despairing feeling not only to me but to everyone.  I bet your heart aches whenever you see kids starve. They are everywhere knocking on every windows asking for food. We know that there is a solution but how can it be solved if the leaders of our country is being
inconsiderate.

I was so shocked to know they even the price rate of sugar, soy sauce
tomato went up. A basic salary is sort of not enough to nourish a living especially when your family is huge. Last night I watched news and felt the same sad feeling because of toll price hike. I was like, "What is happening?" For me that thing is kind of questionable because it is not that clear where our toll payment goes. I consider the salary of employers who are serving us. The road fixations and constructions is also acceptable. But how about the other earnings? Where does that money proceed? Living is full of confusion especially in the country where we live. The value of everything goes up. It may be unacceptable but there is no other way but to live with it.

We can change the place where we exist. We can make a difference and let the leaders bow to their followers. They're just a human anyway, not our God. We can surely do little things that will give impact. Wrestle this complication and prove other that you can change lives, not just your life but also the existence of others. Do not just simply listen, make a way. Do not just heal yourselves, heal our nation. This writing may be negative in a little way but I believe that it is the strongest way to encourage lives.

Life is not like a fairytale.

In one snap things you desire can happen?
In just a simple wink you'll see your wishes happen in reality?

Life is often compared to fairytales.
Full of surprises and fantasies.
We often open our eyes because we want to see unexpected happenings which lead is to imagination.
Our minds open what it seek. It closes our ideas about failures.

You know what is real.
You just regret the turning point of seeking the reality.

You limit yourself on what you just hope and wish. In order to reach the prime time of your life, you really need to work hard for it. You really need to exert much effort for you to achieve something. You cannot just grab your dreams with your hands and let it happen instantly. What you need is motivation. Yes, life can be easy as A B C but it can also be complicated as you don't expected it to be.

Seek not just for your aspirations but also what the real world requires you to do.
You need to fail for you to attain success.
You need to shed tears for you to feel contentment.
You need to be declined in order to be accepted in the future.

Accomplishments are the results of hardwork.

Life is not like a fairytale.
Do not just wish. Do not just hope.
Actions speak louder than words.
The world does not requires you to speak about your wants. It hopes you to succeed.

EXPLORE and EXERT.
Try to ponder your ideas then move..
