Beauty Queens grace Binibining. Pilipinas Pageant. We all
know that this pageant is definitely a big event which we commemorate every
year that is a preparation and a search for the upcoming Miss Universe,
worldwide project based pageant. Beautiful
ladies stood up on a very fascinating and alluring stage with their stunning
faces, long and glamorous gowns and primed minds. Of course, they did not forget
to bring their confidence with them which is the most important armor in a
contest. Binibining Pilipinas was held on April 15, 2012 at the Smart Araneta
Coliseum.
Everyone stayed up late to watch the event that was flashed
in ABS-CBN, Channel 2. Like everyone else who are tuned in on the live show, students
from Saint Paul University Manila did not forget to support a fellow
Paulinian named Romelin Roxane De Castro
who just graduated this March 2012 with the degree of Mass Communication, Major
in Communication Arts. Paulinians showed their support in different social
networking sites just to stretch a hand for Roxane. Tweets and status posts
were popping out on every Paulinian’s account exclaiming their 100% support and
care. Romelin Roxane De Castro is called as “Roxy” by her friends and
professors. She is the morena lady with a nice smile and charming face; who
carries a high-maintained intelligence. She carried the “number 2” in the
pageant. You will indisputably be captivated by her because of her expressive
eyes and smile. Who wouldn’t support this lady when you know how she strived hard
for her studies? She has known to be an
intelligent woman, who focused very hard on her education. Roxy just finished
her OJT and thesis this year but she still managed to place herself on this
competition.
Roxy haven’t been into modeling before she entered
Binibining Pilipinas. She just experienced runways and photoshoots during and
after the contest. She aspired to become a beauty queen during her young years
but have already forgotten about it as time went by. Her professors were the
ones who urged her to give it a try. They believed on Roxy’s capabilities and
abilities because of her bright ideas and admirable attitude. Her mentors
trusted her abilities especially when they have observed how this woman handles
important matters in her life; she knows what to prioritize. Roxy had mentioned
that she’d always want to be in the limelight so she pursued reaching her long
time dream. The urges and encouragements of her mentors were paid off as Roxane
decides to show what she’d got. Thankfully, she passed the screening and had
able to join the pageant. Her advisers are definitely proud of her. They
believed that Roxy gave her best shot.
Even though Roxy did not get the title, she is very happy
because of what she had experienced during the contest. She exclaimed that
everything she had been through was unforgettable including the photoshoots,
fashion shows, charity works and the feeling of being an instant celebrity for
two months. About her plans and projects in the present time, she is fulfilled
and lucky enough to be given some invites from local beauty pageants as a guest.
She is also involved in high fashions runways which she narrated is one of the
source of her pleasure. Roxy is also glad to be able to grasp the opportunity
of having training in communication skills. And of course, she is not closing
her doors even she had made many people proud.
Like a normal fresh graduate, she is currently looking for a stable job
because she believes that there are still many opportunities for her career and
future profession. Roxane is very passionate in her purpose of inspiring
others. We all felt joyful seeing our fellow Paulinian show the execution of
the gifts and capacities that God gave her. Roxane hopes that she served as an
muse of encouragement not only for Paulinians, but for everyone.
