11/10/11 was the last voting day of the New 7 Wonders of Nature
While everybody's preparing and planning for their own celebration of the "special day" which is 11/11/11, some people are busy voting and campaigning our own Puerto Princesa Underground River.
Palawan is known for many tourist spots like El Nido Marine Reserve, Coron Reefs, Subterranean National Park, Leprosy Museum, Tabon Cave, Honda Bay, Melville Lighthouse, Puerto Princesa Underground River and a lot more. They are known for museums. If you will spend a budget for the transportation and accommodation, it is worth it. Aside from the reviews from different websites, I've been there 3 years ago. I witnessed the fantasizing wonders of the place. Overnight or 3 day stay is not enough to explore all the places.
Seeing the underground river in Palawan through news makes me want to go there again. The spectacular limestones contains 8.2 km long underground river. Could you imagine how the stone formed? The bangkero of our boat explained that these formations happened through the water. Speaking of bangkero, I think why tourists love the entire place is because the boatmen are full of humor, entertaining, and they are good in speaking english. Another thing that I love the most -- the people there are not oppurtunists or in tagalog namamantala. They love what they do because they are aware that it's for the country and countrymen as well. You should all go there to witness every testimonials you hear and see.
I posted this blog to recognize our country Philippines
CONGRATULATIONS!!
I know we're all sharing the same feeling. The joy in heart when you saw this news in Yahoo! and on television news program. The glow in your eyes when the words in newspaper popped out. Yes, YOU SHOULD BE PROUD!!
Maybe this is the reason why I should be an optimist these past few days.
