What's up vacation?
Vacation came by just in time, I must say. I've been really wishing and hoping for this "season" to come as soon as possible when we were struggling with our school works. Third year as may others say, is a "hell year". Yeah, I can attest, it is really it is. Thesis and productions as I have mentioned on my last blogs were the two things we focused on. And now, here it is! It's vacation time! I'm overreacting for the first 2 weeks of this year's vacation. I posted "vacay stuffs" on my social networking accounts for so many times. 'Cause what I experienced during our last days of third year was fearful. I am sure that many college students are really thankful for this vacation. Teenagers are posting on their facebook accounts how happy they are because they can rest and enjoy at last. "Boredom strikes" phrase will not be an unusual matter on your feed. Summer vacation has always been the lifesaver for many people but sometimes it will lead you to boredom. Like, yeah, you stay at home and rest; you can party all night and go wherever and whenever you want. But, it may also opens you to realization of self as unproductive.
I hate it when I see myself unproductive. I want to do so many things and I can't choose where path to go! Honestly! I want to take the opportunity of engaging myself on a summer job but I'm not sure if I can drag myself away from my bed as earliest at it should be. Laziness, it is. I also want to take workshops but some of them will start on May. I want it by April but maybe I'll try to find more interesting workshops. I am really torn. Some of my companions are advising me just to stay at home and savor this season as for next school year's preparation. I am thankful because we had decided to launch our online shop that, somehow, pulls me away from boredom because I need to edit the items, schedule the deliveries and meet-ups. It's fun.
There are tons of things to do this summer vacation that will lead you to productivity. What are those?
1. Closet cleanup
This is the right time to clean up your closets. I know, we teenagers, have "NO" time to fix our clothes during school days. Segregate the clothes you don't prefer to wear anymore to have big space for your new clothes. Hihihi!
2. Attend seminars and workshops
This will really lead you to productivity. In just one click on the internet, you can find seminars and workshops of your interest. You may prefer it to near your place so just simply add location on the search box. I suggest this to the people who wants mold their skills more or who wants to discover their hidden skills.
3. Summer job
Us, students, are in demand on different field. Don't waste the opportunities. Hundreds of companies are looking for young ones who can spare their skills and time for them. One of those is the outsourcing companies. They just require a good English skills and at least a one year in college. It's a privilege for you to have an experience or even an "interview experience" that will also serve as a training point. Aside from these things, you can earn money which we all desire. Haha!
4. Catch up with your friends
Studies, is sometimes a hindrance for your planned hangouts. This is now the time to meet your friends especially your highschool buddies whose also busy for the past months. It's the perfect time to catch up with them.
5. Have a trip
Beach trip is definitely a blast! It's an exploration for you to see new things. It will also relax and soothe your psychological and mental bodies. An adventure may also be a good idea. Or even a museum and zoo trip! Anywhere! It depends on your interest.
And... so much more!
Ask yourself what you want for this summer vacation.
Consider two things: Productivity and enjoyment.
Good luck!
